Greetings everyone,
I'm Truong Nguyen, a fashion model with experience spanning both Canada and Vietnam. Since the age of 14, I've harbored a deep-seated dream of gracing the world's runways. In 2019, I immersed myself in the vibrant modeling scene of Toronto, nurturing my passion for the craft.
Over the course of five years in the fashion industry, I've honed my skills and cultivated a professional mindset. In 2023, I embarked on a journey with Markham Talent, driven by a desire to conquer new heights in my career. Winning the esteemed title of Model Champion was not just a personal triumph; it symbolized the culmination of years of dedication and perseverance.
This victory marked a significant milestone, not only for my own journey but also as a testament to the power of hard work and determination in the face of challenges. I'm eager to share my story with the world, to inspire aspiring models to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Hello, my name is Nanamie Li! I am 16 years old and currently attending Etobicoke School of the Arts. Last year, I had the privilege of participating in the Markham Talent Open Casting Call, where I won Age 16 and under Overall Grand Champion. The whole event was truly such an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The organizers went above and beyond to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.
The casting call provided a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds and talents to showcase their skills. Whether you were an actor, singer, dancer, or any other kind of performer, there was a space for you to shine. The judges were not only highly skilled professionals but also genuinely invested in discovering new talent and nurturing aspiring artists. Their feedback was constructive and valuable, enabling me to significantly grow as a performer.
Plus, my fellow competitors were incredibly friendly, making the competition feel very welcome rather than nerve-wracking. I even made some new friends there!
Overall, the Markham Talent Open Casting Call exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It not only provided a platform for talent discovery but also fostered a sense of belonging within the performing arts community. Entering the 2023 Markham Talent Open-Casting Call was such a life changing experience. I never really had the confidence to go up on stage and sing, but being apart of this was such an amazing experience that I will never forget. If it wasn’t for Councillor Amanda Collucci and my wonderful agent, I don’t think that I would have the opportunities that I’ve been exposed to now.
This experience allowed me to become the SingerSongwriter that I am today and I am forever grateful to have been apart of this. Thank you to everyone for believing in their talent and for encouraging all of them - myself included - to go for their dreams.
